Curious about Olympic lifting and functional fitness but don’t know where to start? Our Intro to ESC class is the perfect way to dive into this challenging and rewarding workout style. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of functional fitness and Olympic lifting, including proper form, key movements, and how to scale exercises to match your fitness level. This class focuses on safety, technique, and building a strong foundation for our sometimes-intimidating-ESC class.
You’ll experience a blend of strength training, cardio, and functional movements like squats, deadlifts, pull-ups, and kettlebell swings. The aim of these movements is to improve overall fitness by targeting key components like strength, endurance, flexibility, power, speed, agility, coordination, balance, and accuracy that translate into better performance in daily life.
The goal of this class is to create a well-rounded athlete, capable of performing a wide range of physical tasks. It's about challenging yourself and constantly improving in various aspects of fitness, all within a community that encourages progress and resilience. Whether your goal is to get stronger, fitter, or simply try something new, this class will set you on the path to success!
Intro is offered Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 6:15-7a.m. This is a charged program, and sign-up is offered to participants monthly.
